Restoring 36 mud buildings to convert to a Marriott AUTOGRAPH – luxury 5 star hotel / resort.
140 Standard guest rooms and 26 Suites, 1 Presidential suite with receiving hall, Banquet and Meeting facilities, All Day Dining, and Specialty Restaurants and Male and Female Spas.
Working in partnership with international specialist restoration consultants, the intent; to provide guests with a genuine Najdi heritage experience, blended with the luxury and comfort 5-star hospitality. The design language focused on successfully blending the mix of regional materials locally handcrafted with more refined contemporary finishes, without loosing the original design intent.
In the public areas, restaurants and guest rooms, the boldly coloured, custom woven fabrics, handcrafted and inspired by traditional ‘Sadu’ weave patterns, establish the luxury, while quirky and unexpected furniture pieces individually selected add a sense of modernity, essential to the spirit of the Autograph brand.
